Ahh, Azamara Club Cruises or as some guests refer to this cruise line as “Az-Amazing.” When it comes to unique experiences at your destination with a premium cruise experience, Azamara delivers. This line is definitely more like a boutique hotel. They have just two jewel-box ships in the fleet: Journey and Quest. Each holds under 700 passengers. This cruise line’s ships are basically like a floating country club. Here are some of the exclusive amenities you will find if you are fortunate to sail on Azamara:
- AzAmazing Evenings – unlike other cruise itineraries, Azamara makes a point to not only take you to some of the famous destinations, but they then kick it up about 10 notches and put together an exclusive experience at a well known destination for something exclusive you will not find anywhere else.
- The ships will feel very comfortable and you have a variety of stateroom categories to choose ranging from interior and oceanview to royal and penthouse suites.
- One very exclusive distinction Azamara offers is the overnight stays and visits to various ports. Where most cruise lines will stop into a port just during the day, Azamara has overnights. Imagine Monaco at night (we’ve been there overnight and WOW, it is nothing like during the day).
- You will often find guest lecturers aboard who are experts in culture, history, sports and more which can add some educational value to the destinations you will visit.
What you may not know is Azamara is actually owned by Royal Caribbean International. It was originally planned to be an expansion of Celebrity Expeditions, a subbrand of Celebrity Cruises. However, with their distinct style and offering it was decided they needed a line of their own.
Azamara Club Cruises can be found sailing in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Mexico, South America and the Mediterranean.
